The thin-layer EP drainage mortar system
for use in combination with AquaDrain® EK surface drainage for balconies and patio terraces.
MorTec® DRAIN is a thin-layer drainage/single grain mortar system for use in combination with AquaDrain® EK surface drainage for solid laid natural stone and ceramic coverings or balconies, patios and (roof) terraces.

In combination with the AquaDrain® EK surface drainage (paving), as well as for solid laid natural stone and ceramic coverings, and with AquaDrain® SD step drainage
Substrate/covering
Substrate requirements: Pressure resistant;
for thermal insulation: EPS 035 DAA dh/XPS), min. 150 kPa
Suitable substrates:
- Patio terraces with ground contact, roof terraces, loggias, cantilevered balconies
- Old tile coverings/old coatings
Fall: Min. 1 %
Seal: All types of sealing can be used, except for bitumen welded sheets

When laid on AquaDrain® EK, 8mm:
- From approx. 43 mm (tiles)
- From approx. 50 mm (natural stone)
