Unique floating laid uncoupling system
for the ventilation and uncoupling of ceramic coverings indoors.

IndorTec® 2E saves time and money when laying ceramic coverings in indoor areas. IndorTec® 2E is the only uncoupling system that ventilates and uncouples without being bonded to the substrate. This effectively prevents damage when relatively rigid ceramic coverings are laid on critical substrates that may still undergo changes after laying.

Product structure

IndorTec® 2E - Unique floating laid uncoupling system
IndorTec® 2E - Unique floating laid uncoupling system

IndorTec® 2E on a wood substrate with 100% uncoupling of the tile covering from the wooden structure. Shearing off or cracking of the covering due to cracks and changes in dimension of the wooden substrate are avoided.

Suitable substrates

  • Wooden floors
  • Substrates with problem adhesion (e.g. hard PVC, paint, oil-stained floors)
  • Cracked (heating) screeds
  • Mixed substrates
  • Fresh, still damp screeds

Advantages of IndorTec® 2E

  • 50 % time saved as system is laid floating.
IndorTec® 2E is laid floating, without adhesion to the substrate. There is no need, as with standard uncoupling mats, for work to prepare the substrate, priming and bonding of the mats with the substrate.
  • 100% safe uncoupling without adhesion prevents crack formation
IndorTec® 2E is laid directly onto the substrate but not bonded to it. This 100% uncoupling prevents cracks in the substrate being transferred to the ceramic covering.
  • Prevents build-up of humidity by uniform ventilation of the substructure.
IndorTec® 2E ventilates horizontally and vertically. This prevents additional humidity on the substrate. Residual humidity disperses uniformly in the IndorTec® 2E drainage channel system and is vented through the joints in the covering.
  • Reinforced covering support – can be used even on substrates with problem adhesion.
  • Only four steps to a finished covering:
    1. Lay out sheet/ roll
    2. Fill sheet/roll
    3. Lay tiles
    4. Grout covering
